DATA PROTECTION DECLARATION FOR VIDEO SURVEILLANCE
1. Video Surveillance (Basis and Purpose of Processing)
We have installed video surveillance in our establishment. This data protection declaration applies to all persons affected by the video surveillance in our establishment (Hotel Garni Schneider, Dorf 115, 6764 Lech). We hereby inform you about the type, scope, and purpose of the collection and use of your personal data by our company in this context. We respect your privacy and are committed to complying with the legal requirements for the processing of your personal data. All your personal data is processed on this basis.
Video surveillance is in place for the preventative protection of the property, integrity, and safety of our guests and customers, as well as our business and our employees. The video surveillance covers the reception area, the ski room and its access, and the rear entrance.
These surveillance measures serve to secure evidence in the event of criminal offenses, to establish causation of damages, and to assert and defend our claims, as well as the claims of our guests, employees, and other injured third parties, and to fulfill the legal interests and obligations of ourselves and the aforementioned groups. For this purpose, we collect the following data from individuals in the video-monitored area: image/audio recordings of the individuals, including the location and time of the recording.
Unless it is merely a real-time transmission, the data will be stored for up to 72 hours. In exceptional cases, longer storage, disclosure (e.g., to courts, security authorities, insurance companies, legal representatives), and other processing may occur as long as necessary for conducting the associated legal or administrative proceedings and disputes and pursuing claims. If no specific case exists and no other statutory retention obligations apply, the video recordings will be automatically deleted after 72 hours.
In exceptional cases, we will transmit the collected data (i.e., the video recording or a description of the actions evident therein) to the competent authorities and courts, as well as to insurance companies, legal representatives, and individuals who derive claims from actions documented by video surveillance, and their legal representatives. Please note that courts and/or authorities may, in exceptional cases, order the publication of the recordings.
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling. We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures when processing data. The video recordings are encrypted and can only be viewed by authorized personnel in a secure location using a computer not connected to our company's IT network.
The data controller is Carola Muxel, Hotel Garni Schneider, Dorf 115, 6764 Lech, Austria. Her representative is Thomas Muxel.
